Lec 23 - Tilo Schulz on Art and Exhibition

Lec 23 - Tilo Schulz on Art and Exhibition. Tilo Schulz, artist and curator, discusses his work and research on art and exhibition. His work shifts between the modalities of art, craft, design, and architecture as it comments on the status of art in the representation of the social and the political. Also a curator, Schulz's work is particularly adept at staging viewing scenarios for the audience, who are often included in the planning stages. Born in East Germany, his work also reflects a deep engagement with issues surrounding art's instrumentalization during the communist era in the former Eastern Bloc.
