Action potential is transmitted from the motor neuron to the muscle fiber through the binding process of neurotransmitter with specific receptor in the muscle membrane. Action potential in the muscle fiber caused release of calcium by the action of the calcium pump. Calcium flows through the muscle and initiates muscle contraction. Edited by Ashraf
