Vaccination is the process by which an individual acquire immunity against a specific pathogen or antigen. Killed or attenuated pathogens are used to vaccination. Vaccination stimulates many types of lymphocytes including the plasma cells and memory cells. When the same individual is exposed to pathogenic does of the antigen, memory cells recognize it as foreign body and immediately kick start the immune system to neutralize it. Edited by Ashraf
