How do T lymphocytes or T cells play important role in specific immunity? The cytotoxic T lymphocytes destroy infected cells or cancer cells. The helper T cells help production of specific antibodies by B cells, another kind of lymphocytes involved in specific immunity. Edited by Ashraf
