Plate Tectonics: formation of the continents
Plate tectonics is a theory that explains the large scale movement of the lithosphere. It is believed that the continents were once joined together to form a super continent. Later, due to movement of the tectonic plates, the continents were separated and form the continents as we see them now. Edited by Ashraf
