New spacecraft movie shows Moon transiting Earth
This video shows a new movie take by a spacecraft showing the Moon transiting the Earth. The Moon passes in front of the Earth in this video taken by the Deep Impact spacecraft, now called EPOXI. The continents are much more pronounced because they were imaged through an infrared filter, and vegetation is bright at near-infrared wavelengths.
