Signal transmission from nerve to tissue

Action potential in the nerve causes release of neurotransmitters from the synaptic vesicles. The neurotransmitter molecules travel through the synaptic cleft, a narrow gap between the synapse and the muscle tissue. The neurotransmitters then bind with a specific receptor in the membrane of the muscle and create action potential in the muscle. Edited by Ashraf
