Skin Biopsy via Shave and Punch
A biopsy is a procedure done to acquire a sample for examination from a specific part of the body. A shave and punch is a skin biopsy. A shave is done on the surface barely making detectable changes whereas a punch is a sample that goes all the way to the subcutaneous fat.
