    Ultraluminous Infrared Galaxy

    Ultraluminous galaxies are also referred to as ULIRGs, they are galaxies that emit light that is 100 times brighter than the normal galaxies in infrared. They are found when in merging galaxies whose collisions lead to dust enshrouded busts of star formation.
