Chaperons and Proteasome Function

Chaperons are proteins that assist the covalent folding or unfolding and the assembly or disassembly of other macromolecular structures whereas proteasome functions to degrade unneeded or damaged proteins by proteolysis, a chemical reaction that breaks peptide bonds.
