Ovarian follicles are basic unit of female reproductive system. It contains the immature egg or ovum. Follicles have a thin outer wall and in filled with clear fluid. In polycystic ovarian syndrome, immature follicles turn to cysts and form a ring around the age of the ovary. Edited by Ashraf
