What are Gamma Rays?

Gamma rays are highest energy form of light that is electromagnetic radiation . It is not visible to human eyes and is highly bio hazardous. Gamma rays are emitted by decay of radioactive material and also emitted by the hot regions in space. These rays are thankfully blocked by the earth's through absorption. On a positive note, they are harnessed to kill cancerous cells.
