How Drosophila Reacts to circadian rhythm? This video shows activation of per gene. At the beginning of animation proteins (green and blue) are bound to promoter of per gene. It is needed for translation to begin. Proteins synthesis, and after accumulation they enter nucleus and stop the transcription. As PER proteins degrade with the sun rising per expression starts over.
