    Gene Therapy Example

    First legal human gene therapy in US took place at NIH, Sep 14 1990. 4 year old which had genetic defect causing her immune system not to work properly. Therapy consisted of putting back to patient her own T cells which had been genetically modified it the lab. T-cells were modified with Adenovirus.
