A solution of such a factorization may be written as shown. And the total solution of such a factorization may be written as shown. Indeed, it is easy to see, such factorization is compatible with the linear 2nd order ODE particular solutions formula. The total solution of such a factorization may be written as a generalization of Euler's Constant Coefficients solution technique; but, as shown, also generalizes the more general general elementary 2nd order HLODE solution.
