How old is the universe?
According to research, the universe is approximately 13.8 billion years old. Age may only be a number, but when it comes to the age of the universe, it's a pretty important one. Astronomers used to think the Universe was timeless, but then they discovered that it actually has an age. How did they first figure out that the Universe started existing billion of years ago, and how have they fine tuned their estimates to its current, extremely accurate numbers?
