"Lec 7 - Technology for Developing Regions" December 1, 2006 lecture by Eric Brewer for the Stanford University Human Computer Interaction Seminar (CS547). In this talk, Eric argues that decreasing costs of computing and wireless networking make this the right time to spread the benefits of technology, and that the biggest missing piece is a lack of focus on the problems that matter; he covers some example applications, including novel low-cost telemedicine.
