Sterilization of women by tubal ligation
In the normal female reproductive tract, the ovary releases ova into the fallopian tube. Fallopian tube is the normal site of fertilization. Tubal ligation is a surgical procedure whereby, the fallopian tubes are permanently divided preventing fertilization of ova.
