Carpal tunnel syndrome is compression neuropathy of the median nerve most commonly at the transverse carpal ligament but sometimes also at proximal forearm at the pronator teres muscle patients complain of intermittent loss of sensation in first three digits most commonly but also of forearm and wrist pain and weakness of grip most advanced cases
