Very low density lipoprotein is produced by the liver. It transports fat from the liver to other tissue such as adipose tissue. VLDL consists of a single layer of phospholipid and cholesterol. Inside the outer layer esters of cholesterol are found. It also contains a protein called apoB100. Edited by Ashraf
