Role of myosin cross-bridge in the contraction of muscle

Myosin cross-bridge binds at the myosin cross-bridge binding site of actin. ATP bound to the myosin cross-bridge is then broken down to ADP and inorganic phosphate. The energy released during this reaction, creates power stroke for the myosin cross-bridge to move the next actin molecule.Edited by Ashraf
